I created this mashup so that I could import my Twitter posts into my Tumblr tumblelog without each post beginning with my display name.

To use the pipe, follow these steps:

1. go to http://snurl.com/1fh4z
2. at the first prompt enter your Twitter username (i.e., from twitter.com/username)
3. at the second prompt ("status post title"), enter the text that you would like to have replace the "display name: " at the beginning of each post
4. if you enter the word "logo" (no quotes) at the second prompt, you will get a light blue Twitter "t", like so:

That's it.

The "status post title" text will be hyperlinked to the permalink of the post.

Issues

• For some reason Pipes only seems to be pulling the most recent post from the feed. I don't know why.
• If anyone knows or figures out a way to improve this so that the date can be extracted from the ~pubDate element, reformatted (and, ideally, displayed in the correct time zone), and inserted into the body of the post, that's something I'd really like to be able to do.

I made one more change to the pipe. Now it also makes hyperlinks live in the feed. i.e.

http://www.google.com

is replaced with

<a href="http://www.google.com">http://www.google.com</a>
